Bhutan 2011

Bhutan is a place apart. We were so lucky to spend two weeks experiencing it’s wonderful people and gorgeous places.

Among the highlights: buddhism and attitudes, prayer flags, the one road that crosses the country, altitude, temples and monks, farming of rice, potatoes, greens and a lot of peppers (the national dish is chilis and cheese over rice or potatoes), kids and mischief, black-necked cranes, and the annual festival in Bumthang.
